AI models are no longer updated monthly, but weekly. Just today, Qwen and Google independently announced two new models on the same day: Qwen's latest large language model, and a new fast release added to Google's Gemini family. On its own, this might not be surprising — but the pace revealed when you look at the bigger picture of the past few months is genuinely striking.
August alone saw 11 major model launches from more than five companies. Analysts tracking the industry note that models which topped benchmark tests six months ago are now considered "mid-tier." The time it takes a model to stand out from its competitors, once measured in months just a while ago, is now measured in weeks.
What does this mean for businesses?
This pace produces two different outcomes. On one hand, developers and businesses constantly get more powerful and more affordable options. On the other hand, "choosing and setting up the best model" is no longer a one-time decision — it's turning into a process that requires continuous evaluation.
Our approach is this: the right model for a business isn't the newest or the most powerful one, it's the one best suited to that business's actual needs (response speed, cost, language support). That's why our chatbot solutions aren't tied to a single model — we evaluate based on need.
